BAR AMERICANO

Atlanta Restaurant

Our clients, nostalgic for the Italian-American restaurants of their childhood, wanted to open a sophisticated, yet casual Italian-American restaurant called Bar Americano. The menu was composed of “new classics” with a twist on traditional Italian food so the interior design called for a similar aesthetic.

Traditional elements such as iron table bases, brass details, red upholstery, chair styles, and classic black and white photography were contrasted with more whimsical selections such as red cork, red marble, and a saturated red private dining area. Curved booths were created to anchor the dining areas while also organizing the space. The custom booths were designed with vertical channel details and were upholstered in either a red leather or a red velvet.

“Swathed in Rosso corsa (“racing red”), the customary motor racing color of Italy, Bar Americano’s bar and lounge invite guests to socialize over an after-work Campari or house-made pasta dinner.”
